Mawson is a small exquisitely soft and realistic Australian Sea Lion, baby grey fur Seal pup plush toy that is a handmade and airbrushed plush toy.

Female Australian fur seals spend most of the gestation period at sea, coming ashore just before the birth of the pup(s) between October and December. The fertilized egg remains dormant for some time before implanting and developing. This ensures that the pups will always be born in summer when chances of survival are highest. The Australian Sea Lion is protected by Australian State and Federal government legislation and listed as rare by the IUCN.

Mawson measures 25cm/9.8″ in length, 18cm/67.1″ in height and 15cm/5.9″ in width.

The stuffing for Mawson was made using 7 recycled plastic bottles from regenerated ocean waste.
