Dachshund

The Dachshund was first bred 300 years ago in Germany to hunt badgers. The name Dachshund literally means “badger” (dachs) and “dog” (hund). Also called Weiner or Sausage Dog, the actual hot dog was named after the Dachshund. It was also the first Olympic Games Mascot.
