Golden Retrievers

Golden Retrievers were originally bred as a gun dog for hunting and shooting parties – hence the name ‘Retriever’. They were crossed with the Water Spaniel to ensure that they could also hunt in the water. They have a two-layer coat, one is to keep them dry and the other to keep them cool/warm.
